The world's tallest Ganesha statue is at the Ganesha International Park in Klang Kluen, Thailand.
While Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated across the country and NRIs in foreign land, a Facebook post has gone viral. The post was shared with the caption in Kannada: "World's tallest standing statue of Lord Ganapati. It is not in India. It is in Indonesia, a staunch Islamic country. The roots of Sanatana Dharma have spread to the world."
A similar post went viral earlier in the form of a video. A 44-second video with an aerial view of the statue was published.
It was posted on X (formerly Twitter) in 2022 with the caption: "128-foot tall Ganesha statue standing in Muslim Indonesia."

A reverse image search revealed that the tallest statue said to be from Indonesia is actually from Thailand.A 128-feet statue was erected at Ganesha International Park in Klang Kuen District, Thailand.We found a video on YouTube with a scene similar to the image of Ganesha idol seen in the viral post and video. The description of this video published in August 2020 states that the idol is in Thailand.The website Shriganesh.com gives the details of this statue, "This statue is made of bronze in an area of 40,000 square meters. It is the tallest Ganesha statue in the world. It has four hands, jackfruit in the upper right hand, sugarcane in the left hand, banana in the lower right hand, and mango in the left hand.
Searching Google Maps Street View confirmed that the viral post's tallest Ganesha statue is located in Bang Talat, Klang Kuen District, Thailand (Google Maps).
There is an official website of the park where the Ganesha idol is installed, which shows photos of the Ganesha idol from different angles.
Hence, it is certain that the world's tallest Ganesha idol is not in Indonesia, but in Thailand.
