A video of a young boy doing namaz in the middle of the road, obstructing the traffic, is going viral with the narrative that the incident occurred in India. The video shows a policeman guarding him and stopping the traffic till the boy finishes his prayer. Vehicles are allowed to move only after he finishes the prayers.

When translated, it claims: “Because of one child, the route has been changed for the traffic, these people also run the Constitution in their own way, just let it happen for some time and 30-40%, then see what they do. It's time to wake up Hindus, you sit on dharna for small things, try to know about the huge problem that is coming.”

Fact check:

The claim that this incident occurred in India is false.

When we performed Google reverse image search, we found that this video was also shared by Tarek Fatah, with the caption “How does one country produce so many rectums? How does Pakistan do it?”. The video shared by him on Twitter is of same incident but is longer than the viral video shared and shows the incident in detail and with clarity.

In this video, we can see some clues which prove that the video is from Dubai and not India.

Firstly, when we observe the uniform of the security person, we can see a badge on his hand and security written on the back of the shirt along with Arabic words- حراسةwhich means guard. When we searched for similar uniforms, we found a few news reports about Dubai and UAE showing images of people wearing similar uniforms.

We found a YouTube video published by Ejadah Asset management group, with the title ‘Arkan Security Solutions’ in 2015 which shows persons wearing similar uniform with the same badge and words on their shirts.

Second, the licence plates on the cars are not those of India. On searching, we found that these kind of licence plates can be seen in Dubai, with 5 digits on the plate along with ‘Dubai’ written on them.

Third, we can see a delivery partner with his bike on the street in the video. When we performed a reverse image search, we found alamy stock images showing Talabat food delivery partners.

Fourth, at the end of the video, we found the TikTok account ID of the person who posted this video online. It is @ajom75uddin, we found his Facebook account with the same ID. In his profile, he mentions that he hails from Dubai and the video reel of this incident was posted by him in January 2023.
