BJP’s Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, earned the tag of bulldozer baba due to his reference to a heavy JCB machine that his government deployed to demolish the properties of alleged criminals in the state. Recently, the party won the Assembly elections in Rajasthan.
In this context, a video showing a train carrying several JCB excavators is in circulation with the claim that the JCBs are being shifted from Uttar Pradesh to Rajasthan.
The video is shared with the caption “Train from UP to Rajasthan. Bulldozers dispatch”
Fact Check:
The claim is False. The video has been online since November 2021.
When observed, we can see the text ‘WAG-9H 31395 BHILAI with JCB's on BOMN Train’ on the video.
When we searched the key frames extracted from the video using reverse image search along with the keywords ‘WAG-9H 31395 BHILAI with JCB's on BOMN Train’, we found that the viral video is part of a longer video shared on YouTube in November 2021.
YouTube video on the channel named ‘Gopirailworld’ titled Two Trains OVERTAKES BOMN Rake Freight Train | JCB's on Train | WAP-7 Superb Acceleration | I R, features videos of various passenger and goods trains. In the video, we can see the viral visuals at 3.13 minutes.
This video was published by the channel on November 26, 2021, with the description ‘Rare spotting of JCBs on BOMN Train. And Two Express Trains Overtakes BOMN Freight Train. Superb Acceleration of ERODE [ED] WAP-7 with 24 coaches Kollam Weekly Express. MEGA OFFLINK Tuglakabad [TKD] with KRISHNA Express.’ In the description, we can also see ‘WAG-9H 31395 BHILAI with JCB’s on BOMN train, moving towards Ongole’.
With this, we can conclude that the train was traveling to Ongole in Andhra Pradesh and not to Rajasthan.
Hence, the video does not show a train shifting JCBs from Uttar Pradesh to Rajasthan. The video is old and the claim is False.
