Fact Check: Viral video on Spit Jihad makes a false claim

A salon owner from the Kannauj district in Uttar Pradesh was arrested after a video of him spitting on a customer during a massage to the face was spread virally on social media. The Muslim barber could be seen spitting on his own palm and rubbing it on the customer’s face as part of the massage. He was later arrested and appropriate action was taken by the authorities.
Meanwhile, another video showing a person spitting in the drinking water intended for his boss is also being shared virally with the narrative that he is a Muslim person trying to do Spit jihad. The narrative adds that he is a peon belonging to the Muslim community. When the judge asked him to bring water, he spat in the tumbler and brought the water. This was recorded by the secret CCTV camera arranged in the room. When a judge can become a victim of this, why can't we be prone to this? Be careful in selecting the shops.

Fact check:
The claim is Misleading. The video is from the year 2018 and the man spitting is Vikas Gupta, not a Muslim man.
When we extracted the keyframes from the video and searched them using Google reverse image search, we found a few videos shared on YouTube channels of some news websites.
ABP Live shared the video on YouTube on May 28, 2018, with the title “जज को थूक मिलाकर पानी पिलाने वाले चपरासी का वायरल सच”, when translated states Viral truth about the peon who gave water to the judge mixed with spit. According to the video report, the incident took place in 2018 and the man seen in the video is Vikas Gupta, a peon in Aligarh Court.
Another video report by Nation One News YouTube channel states that a video of a government peon has surfaced in Aligarh, UP, after watching which you too will be shocked. On this shameful act of the peon, he has been suspended and a departmental inquiry has been set up. Actually, this video of the government peon was captured in the camera and this video is going viral on social media.
According to the report published in Times of India, the district and session judge of Aligarh has ordered an inquiry into a bizarre incident of a peon serving water to a lady civil judge after spitting in the glass. The incident came to light after a video that caught Vikas Gupta in the act was widely circulated. Sources said the lady civil judge was suspicious of the peon’s activities but didn’t have any proof. She therefore decided to put a CCTV camera in her chamber and caught him while he spat in a glass of water before serving her.
Hence, the viral video shows the incident of a class four employee from Aligarh court spitting in a glass of water being served to a judge. His name is Vikas Gupta, this incident occurred in 2018 and suitable action was taken against him immediately. The claim that the person belongs to the Muslim community is False.
