Lokesh says YCP using CID to take revenge
Lokesh condemned the 'illegal arrest' of TDP MLC P. Ashok Babu, terming it yet another instance of the ongoing political vendetta in the State.
AMARAVATI: TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh on Friday accused Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of demolishing the established systems and institutions for the sake of his selfish and vested interests.
Lokesh condemned the 'illegal arrest' of TDP MLC P. Ashok Babu, terming it yet another instance of the ongoing political vendetta in the State. Was it wrong on the part of Ashok Babu to question the CM on his failed promise to cancel CPS within one week of coming to power?
In a statement here, Lokesh asked whether the TDP MLC committed a crime by raising his voice on the employees' demands. Ashok Babu had a bounden duty to agitate on behalf of the employees who were betrayed by the YSRCP rulers.
Nara Lokesh expressed concern that the Chief Minister has been using the CID as an institution for revenge ever since his party came to power. Some unscrupulous officers were blindly implementing the unlawful orders of Jagan Reddy. Such conniving and erring officers would have to pay a heavy penalty in future.
Lokesh deplored that the YSRCP regime was a clear example of how the people would suffer if an adamant and arrogant person would be given power. The false cases and midnight arrests became a routine in the State.
Nara Lokesh called on the family members of Ashok Babu and conveyed the party's total support to them. The TDP would not be afraid of the intimidatory tactics of the YSRCP regime and it would continue its agitations on behalf of all sections of society.
