Bharatiya Janata Party is not ready to take Telugu Desam Party back in NDA. BJP leaders say the party is firm on this. They recall Chandrababu’s betrayal to BJP twice in the past. After the election results, Chandrababu did not criticize the central government or BJP. Chandrababu has already clarified that he did not target Modi and the Centre for his own interests but came out of NDA for the stat’s interests.
Besides him, four Rajya Sabha members who quit TDP to join BJP are also doing the same. Especially Sujana Chowdary is telling the central leaders that if BJP again joins hands with TDP in AP, BJP will get favourable results. However, the central leaders are not responding positively. Chandrababu personally visited Nagpur to call on RSS chief Mohan Bahgwat but this yielded no results.
With Chandrababu trying to bring pressure through different sources, BJP’s central leadership wants to take some decision. They are determined to take a final decision about Chandrababu. That’s why they said to have decided to say no entry to Chandrababu. Many leaders in AP BJP are opposed to join hands with Chandrababu again. Besides BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana, leaders like Rajya Sabha member G V L Narasimha Rao are openly stating that there is no need to ally with Chandrababu.
As a result of this, BJP leadership is ready to say no to Chandrababu. They feel it is better to go with Pawan Kalyan’s party. BJP leaders recall that in 2014, the party could win due to Pawan Kalyan’s glamour and Modi image. That’s why they have decided to soon join hands with Pawan Kalyan to strengthen the party. Delhi sources say BJP leaders especially Amit Shah feels that the party should not open doors for Chandrababu. However, Chandrababu continues to make efforts for friendship with BJP.
