Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu is said to be taking all precautions for his son Nara Lokesh. His one target is to win the coming elections and the other is to create favourable conditions for Lokesh. Currently Lokesh is serving as a minister. He has become important in the party and the government. Chandrababu has not declared Lokesh his political successor but unofficially he has announced it. It is learnt that while devising strategies to win the coming elections, Chandrababu is trying to ready a young team to stand by Lokesh.
He is said to have prepared a list in this regard. There are intense speculations in TDP that Chandrababu who wants to enter the national politics is ready to handover the mantle to Lokesh after the party wins the elections in the state. That’s why he is understood to be planning to give other chances to senior leaders and by fielding their heirs prepare the ground for Lokesh. It is reported that he has sought from the party’s central office a list of young leaders who so far played key role in the organization. Lokesh is also said to be participating in this exercise.
Goutu Shyamsunder Shivaji’s daughter Goutu Sirisha, minister Ayyanna Patrudu’s son Vijay Patrudu, Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy’s son Bandaru Appala Naidu, Ashok Gajapathi Raju’s daughter Aditi and Jyothula Nehru’s son Jyothula Naveen are some of the names said to be under Chandrababu’s consideration. Chandrababu is said to have decided to give tickets to some of them, field some for Lok Sabha elections and to give some other posts. In West Godavari district, Bolla Bulli Ramaiah’s grandson Bolla Rajiv is first among the successors. Chandrababu has almost decided to give Eluru MP seat to Rajiv. The line has already become clear for K E Krishna Murthy’s son K S Shyam Babu.
Devineni Nehru’s son Avinash. Kodela Siva Prasad Rao’s son Siva Ram Prasad, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao’s son Ranga Rao, Karnam Balram’s son Karnam Venkatesh, Bojjela Gopala Krishna Reddy’s son Sudhir Reddy, Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu’s sons Jagdish and Bhanu Prasad, Paritala Ravi’s son Sri Ram, T G Venkatesh’s son T G Bharath and other are making hectic efforts. It is learnt that Chandrababu has still not taken a clear stand about them. Chandrababu has reportedly expressed the view that among them it would be good if Paritala Sunita contest the elections this time too. Overall, Chandrababu’s strategy seems to be fielding winning horses in the coming elections. We have to wait and see what happens.
