Andhra Pradesh Industries commerce and Information Technology Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy represented the state in World Economic Forum summit held at New Delhi.
‘As per Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s order, we are moving ahead in enhancing AP’s brand image as the immediate goal,’ said Minister Goutham Reddy ‘Youth are the brand ambassadors for enhancing AP’s brand image.’
The ministry is working on collecting opinions about how to develop industries in an effective way. The officials are working on the same. ‘Already investors are showing their interest in Andhra Pradesh. We are giving utmost priority to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME),’ said Goutham Reddy.
Andhra Pradesh government has been working on establishing special industrial zones in 13 districts. ‘We will collect the new ideas and suggestions from the youth for enhancing AP’s brand image. We will organize a committee to identify such thoughts that enhance AP’s brand image. To encourage such thoughts government gives first, second, and third prices with a cash price of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 25,000, and Rs. 10,000 respectively for those who have given the ideas,’ said Goutham Reddy.
Hind Ware and Mitsubishi company officials have interacted with the Minister Goutham Reddy. Minister has spoken about state’s involvement in India’s bright future. According to the Minister, Andhra Pradesh contributes 180 billion dollars for the country’s GDP and stands in ninth position. The government is trying to improve its position and thus helps the growth of country’s GDP.
Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, Meghalaya Chief Minister Sangma, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao are the top brass among those who have attended the summit.
