How long Jagan will keep them waiting

Several senior leaders in YSRCP are said to hunting for posts. There are many leaders across the state who sacrificed their seats in the previous elections, who ran the party financially, those who worked to make Jagan the CM and those who struggled to bring YSRCP to power. Many of them are those who have been in YSRCP since its inception and there are others who came to YSRCP from TDP and other parties to root for Jagan.

From outside these leaders appear happy that Jagan has become CM and YSRCP government has formed but within they are feeling disgruntled. Some leaders had hoped that if their government comes to power they will get the benefits. Some of them were assured by Jagan himself. They are agitated that though 10 months have completed since the formation of the government, they have not received any chance. They included leaders like Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, Lella Appi Reddy and Marri Rajashekhar.

According to government’s statistics, as many as 200 nominated posts are to be filled in the state. Because of this some leaders have pinned their hopes on the posts. Some others were hoping for Council membership but with Jagan recently deciding to abolish the Council, they are now eyeing nominated posts. Since Jagan has no plans to fill these posts immediately, they are said to be disappointed.

Since the local body elections are to be held soon, Jagan is said to be planning to give nominated posts to those who show their mettle in these polls. It is learnt that this has made some aspirants impatient. Earlier, the delay by Chandrababu in filling the nominated posts had created dissidence among the party cadres and it became a big minus for the party. Will Jagan also repeat this or put a check to dissidence by filling the posts immediately. Let us wait and see.
