Is Naidu worried about note for vote case?

Telugu Desam Party supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was expected to make an announcement on the TDP’s alliance with the Congress in Telangana elections. The TDP leaders and the media was too curious to watch him speaking at the NTR Trust Bhavan the other day as he geared up the party Telangana unit for the impending polls. The Congress leaders too were ready to meet Chandrababu Naidu for initial talks on the alliance.

Interestingly, there were slogans from some of the TDP followers that Chandrababu Naidu should come to Telangana and become its Chief Minister. But, the TDP chief was indifferent. He told the party leaders that TDP in Telangana was their responsibility and he would only support them from Andhra Pradesh. He had asked them to decide on the alliances for the State but declined to own it, as national president of the party.

Chandrababu Naidu had also told them that he would not campaign in Telangana and asked them to take the complete responsibility of leading the party in the crucial election.

All this shows that the TDP chief is worried about his counterpart, Chandrasekhar Rao opening the infamous note for vote case which had driven him out of Hyderabad overnight. It is for this reason that he is not ready to involve in the party affairs. He went one step forward saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had tried to create problems between him and his TS counterpart Chandrasekhar Rao. The fact is that Modi had brought peace between the two chief ministers when they were fighting over the note for vote case and at a time when Chandrababu Naidu had to leave Hyderabad for Vijayawada overnight in a bus.

The other reason is his fear of having adverse impact in Andhra Pradesh if he makes any statement about the party’s alliance with the Congress in Telangana. He had asked them to take the call on their own leaving the risk for them.
