Jagan rides on safe zone, is on winning mood

Almost one year in Praja Sankalpa Padayatra, YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy, is now on a winning mood for the next round of elections. Currently walking in Visakhapatnam district, Jaganmohan Reddy is just two districts away to complete this walk in the 13 districts of the State.

The walk, which will be a historical one, beating the previous walks of Chandrababu Naidu, Rajasekhar Reddy and Sharmila, had given him an opportunity to meet cross sections of the people at every level. His interactions with the people and his long speeches on every alternate day, have kept him close to the people.

More than his walk, he is benefited with the couple of inductions in the party. There were several leaders, former ministers, who have joined the YSR Congress in his presence at different places during his walk. Former ministers P Mahidhara Reddy from Prakasam, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy from Nellore are a few names that have elevated the party and its electoral prospects.

But, what gave Jaganmohan Reddy an edge and cleaned his image is the joining of former IPS officer, Shaik Mohmmad Iqbal and the meeting of former DGP Nanduri Sambasiva Rao. Though Sambasiva Rao did not join the party, the presence of these two senior IPS officers helped Jaganmohan Reddy to continue the momentum.

These developments have left no place for his critics to talk about the CBI cases or his alleged corruption. The very presence of the two senior IPS officers have sent clear message down the lane to the people that there is no justification to the cases filed against Jaganmohan Reddy. The police officers would not associate with Jaganmohan Reddy if the cases are genuine and justified. This is what people at the grassroots are talking now.

The other leaders who have built their career or victory in 2014 elections on single slogan of one lakh crore rupees corruption, will now have to find a new issue and new slogan. That way, the Praja Sankapla Yatra had given an edge to Jaganmohan Reddy.
