Jagan sets ‘mahurtham’

Chief Minister Jagan is getting ready to shift base to Visakhapatnam. With the experts’ committee also submitting its report, he is packing the bags without any delay. It is being said that Jagan plans to step into Visakhapatnam in the new Telugu year. It is learnt that by Ugadi the administrative capital will shift from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam. It is said that an action plan for this is being prepared by Jagan’s close aide and MP Vijaya Sai Reddy.

There are many buildings available in Visakhapatnam to shift the secretariat. They include a multi-storied building of Visakhapatnam Metro Region Development Authority. It is said to be under serious consideration. This is located in the heart of the city. This building with more than 10 floors will definitely be sufficient to serve as the secretariat. Moreover, it is expected to give a new look to the secretariat. This building is accessible to all.

If secretariat is to be set up on beach road with sea view point, many government buildings are available for this. It is being said that Millennium Towers near Rushikonda is also suitable for the secretariat. This is also 10-storied building. In addition to this, there are vacant buildings which can accommodate the secretariat.

On the other hand, IT buildings on Bheemili sea coast have been built with latest design. They may also be used to run the secretariat. YSRCP government is also considering a proposal to use these buildings. There are many government buildings and lands in Sabbavaram. The exercise being done by the government revealed that even if the capital is to be shift immediately from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam, there are many government buildings which can be used.

Jagan is preparing a plan to shift secretariat and his office to Visakhapatnam by Ugadi that is on March 25. He is said to be keen to make sure that before completing one year as the CM, the administrative capital should be shifted to Visakahapatnam so that he can live in the capital of his own. If this happens, Jagan government’s first budget session will also be held in Visakhapatnam. All and all the ‘mahuratam’ has been set.
