YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy will address his Samara Sankharavam public meeting with the party booth-level workers in Vijayawada on March 13. After the successful completion of the historic Padayatra at Itchapuram, Jaganmohan Reddy took up the task of addressing the party booth-level workers preparing them for the impending elections. He had so far addressed such meetings in several districts and the latest was at Nellore a couple of days ago.
He is focusing more on his party’s election promises and the vote deletion by the ruling Telugu Desam Party. It is during such meetings, the YSR Congress chief came to know about the TDP collecting peoples’ data and using it in the party’s mobile application – SevaMitra. The SevaMitra app was developed and maintained by a private company – IT Grids, which is now in big trouble for data leak, a case that was taken up by the Telangana State police.
The Samara Sankharavam had thus helped Jaganmohan Reddy to identify the data theft and removal of votes where he is now telling the party workers to double check their names in the voter lists. It is at these meetings that the YSR Congress leader is trying to reach out to more number of the party workers across the district. The March 13 Samara Sankharavam scheduled to be held in Vijayawada will cover the party workers from Krishna district.
Meanwhile, former MLA and actress Jayasudha joined the YSR Congress and said she would work for the party’s victory in the elections. Former minister Dadi Veerabhadra Rao is also joining the YSR Congress on March 9. Dadi’s entry into the YSR Congress is seen as game-changer in Visakhapatnam politics. It is to be seen how Dadi’s entry would bring fortunes to the YSR Congress, as he is a known TDP leader in the district, particularly in the Anakapalle Assembly segment, which he had represented three consecutive terms since 1989
