Jagan’s final decision on Vizag

Y S Jagan

Where is god. He lives on the hill to rule the world. The king is the god for people. If such a king is at a height, he can see all. That’s why AP chief minister Jagan likes the hills. He wants to shift the capital to Visakhapatnam soon. That’s why he has set his sights on the green hills in Vizag. He initially thought of establishing the secretariat in Madhurwada Millennium Towers. Subsequently he moved ahead and is now said to be keen on Kapuluppada hills.

There is a talk that AP secretariat will be set up over Kapuluppada hills spread over hundreds of acres. According to the information by revenue department sources, the state government has 1350 acres of land here. That’s why YSRCP government under the first phase plans to build secretariat and other buildings in 250 acres. Besides this it is also looking at taking another 600 acres of land to take up large-scale construction to meet future requirements.

In fact the previous TDP government wanted to give big lands on Kapuluppada hills to Adani Group. Adani came forward to build a large IT park and invest about Rs.70,000 crore. However, he finally agreed to invest only Rs. 3,000 crores. However, after YSRCP government came to power it decided to give him land at some other place. It’s not known whether Adani will invest in IT or not but during Chandrababu time the land near Kapuluppada was leveled and marked with layouts. Now this land is available to Jagan. It is learnt that he has decided to build the secretariat on this land.

It is significant to note that Jagan entrusted responsibility of looking after this matter to his close circles. It is being said that they personally visited Visakhapatnam and inspected Kapuluppada land, Millennium Towers, Jute Mills guest house in Bheemili and Visakhapatnam port guest house. It is being said that they are in favour of Kapuluppada land and will brief Jagan about the land. Meanwhile, Jagan is said to be determined to shift the capital to Vizag by the summer and he is likely to vote only for Kapuluppada.
