The two-day brainstorming session of the Jana Sena in Dindi village of East Godavari district, which concluded on Friday, resolved to be active in the midst of the people. The party had asked the rank and file to be with the people and represent their issues with the government. Party chief Pawan Kalyan told the leaders to highlight the failures of the government and represent their issues.
The Jana Sena chief said that people still have confidence in the Jana Sena leadership and claimed the representation from the farmers of the capital villages as one example. “This government had failed to deliver. What was promised at the time of elections is different from what is being done now. People are looking at the Jana Sena leadership to help them from the crisis,” Pawan Kalyan said and asked the party leaders to be available to the people.
“When those in power fail to deliver, it is the responsibility of those in opposition to correct the system. We are in opposition. It is our responsibility to make this government realise its mistakes and correct itself. It is our responsibility to make this government understand what was promised and what is being delivered,” Pawan Kalyan said.
Party senior leader Nadendla Manohar asked the party leaders to make use of the Right to Information Act to get the information from the government and respond to it. He also wanted the Jana Sena leaders to equip with the socio-economic and political knowledge to understand and respond to the peoples’ issues.
The party is now getting ready with a bunch of top leaders being active and fighting on people’s issues. It was only Pawan Kalyan who had been the face of the party for all these years, except a few spokespersons who were authorised to represent the party in the TV debates. Moving forward from this situation, the party is now likely to be seen with some senior leaders giving their voice on various issues.
