Former chief minister and Telugu Desam Party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu met Governor, Biswabhushan Harichandan, at Raj Bhavan, along with his party leaders on Thursday and lodged a complaint against chief minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, holding him responsible for the death of Kodela Sivaprasada Rao. Chandrababu Naidu submitted a 13-page note making allegations of political witch-hunt by Jaganmohan Reddy government in the State, where he alleged that the TDP leaders, sympathisers and cadre were being targeted by the ruling party.
The 13-page complaint also included reports appeared in the Sakshi media group and the social media posts of YSR Congress Parliamentary Party leader Vijayasai Reddy against Kodela Sivaprasada Rao during the last three months. He also presented a list of the cases that were filed against Kodela and his family members during the last three months. He alleged that the YSR Congress government had humiliated the former speaker and his family and subjected him to cruel insult forcing him to take the extreme step of committing suicide. He sought CBI probe into the entire issue and requested the Governor to support his demand.
Chandrababu Naidu said that the State government had targeted and harassed former speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao and his family during the last three months. The government, he said, had booked 18 cases against Kodela and his family members, which included the Assembly furniture missing case. He sought the intervention of the Governor in taming the State government, particularly the witch-hunt politics of chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy.
Later, Chandrababu Naidu addressed a 5-star press conference with a delicious dinner for the journalists in the city, where he made several corruption charges against Jaganmohan Reddy and his family members, including late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. Surprisingly, Chandrababu Naidu never made any such statement, especially on the Assembly furniture issue, when Kodela Sivaprasada Rao was facing the allegation and denying them on his own.
