Naidu faces BJP ire, fires at the activist

Chandrababu Naidu telugu post telugu news

In an interesting development, perhaps for the first time, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu faced the ire of the BJP activists at Kakinada. The BJP activists blocked the convoy of the chief minister raising slogans against him on development count. The activists alleged huge corruption in the government and failure of the Chief Minister in developing the State.

The BJP activists raised slogans against Chandrababu Naidu, which irked him. He lost his cool and shouted at the activists. He had even threatened an activist in the crowd and hurled a couple of warnings and humiliating words. Perhaps it was for the first time that Naidu was seen losing his cool this time. It was before 2004 that he had lost his cool at the activists of the electricity movement which brought him down from power after the infamous police firing at Basheerbagh in Hyderabad. He was almost in the similar situation when he saw the BJP activists stopping his convoy in Kakinada.

He also talked about the TDP’s defeat in the next elections connecting it with the BJP’s prospects. “If we lose the polls, will you be able to get deposits,” was his question to the BJP leaders. It was for the first time that he talked about the TDP’s defeat. Loosing cool and talking about defeat are enough indications to say that Chandrababu Naidu is losing confidence on retaining the power. In fact, his repeated call to the Jana Sena for alliance is also seen as an indication to his falling confidence levels.

Chandrababu Naidu is targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi more than the Opposition leader Jaganmohan Reddy. Though the presence of the BJP is zero in AP politics, Chandrababu Naidu is targeting his criticism on Modi and projecting him as the main villain for the State. It is here that he is linking Jaganmohan Reddy with Modi attributing conspiracy. He predicts that projecting Modi as villain and linking Jaganmohan Reddy with him would fetch TDP some sympathy and help him retain power.

It is to be seen what comes up for him as he marches ahead with this strategy.
