Telugu Desam Party supremo and chief minister Chandrababu Naidu was seen attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party and Central government aggressively on denial of the special category status and other bifurcation benefits to the State. He attended the Assembly session in black shirt as a mark of protest as the State observed bandh on the day.
He pulled up the BJP MLAs in the Assembly for their slavery to the party national leadership despite the party doing injustice to the State. He said that the BJP MLAs have no right to speak on the floor of the Assembly as they were not interested in the welfare of the State. At one point of time, he asked the BJP MLAs to quit the House as they were doing injustice to the people by being silent to the BJP’s national leadership and the Central government.
Chandrababu Naidu expressed anger and anguish at a time for the injustice done to the state. He was on record to say that the BJP and the Central governments were working against the interests of Andhra Pradesh. He targeted the BJP government hitting hard at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the British government was better than the BJP government in development and welfare of the States.
The TDP chief also criticised the Opposition YSR Congress for its silence to the injustice meted out to the State by the Central government. He accused Jaganmohan Reddy of aligning with the BJP and the neighbouring Telangana Rastra Samithi and conspiring against the State.
Forgetting the fact the he received water and soil from Prime Minister Narendra Modi with love and worship when the foundation was laid for the capital Amaravati, he blamed Modi for giving just water and soil for the state and left its fate hanging in balance. He dared to quit active politics if the Modi government shows him the development that he had shown in the Polavaram Projecet.
Several of the TDP members of both Assembly and Council attended the session in black dress in support of their leader Chandrababu Naidu.
