Telugu Desam Party supremo and chief minister Chandrababu Naidu predicted a new government at the Centre after the election. This government would be formed by the Grand Alliance in which he is an active player. The government at the centre after this election would have a strong prime minister who would allow States to be stronger, he said.
Chandrababu Naidu said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had failed in all aspects in the last five years except in destroying the democratic institutions. He said Modi had failed in handling the demonetisation and had misused his powers to do favours to some and harm to more people in the country in the last five years. Time had come for Modi to pack his things and vacate the Prime Minister Office (PMO), the TDP supremo said.
He further claimed that the Grand Alliance partners would elect their new leader to be the next Prime Minister, much before the counting, which is scheduled for May 23. The new prime minister, according to Chandrababu Naidu would keep the States stronger as the Centre is only a federation. The new coalition headed by the new prime minister would have strong players from the regional parties who want the States to be stronger.
The TDP supremo reiterated that his party would emerge victorious in this election in Andhra Pradesh. He said that the TDP had received greater support from the people for its vision and development. “People have voted for development to continue. We are staying back in power for another five years,” Chandrababu Naidu claimed.
The TDP chief further said that his party would play key role in strengthening democracy in the country, which, according to him, was destroyed by Narendra Modi in the last five years. The country will also be freed from corruption that was encouraged by Narendra Modi, he said.
