Telugu Desam Party supremo and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his displeasure over the poor performance of the party leaders ahead of the elections. At the party coordination committee meeting, Chandrababu Naidu took the party leaders including Ministers, MLAs and MLCs to task and hitting hard at them for their non-serious politics.

The TDP chief found that several leaders were still in relax mode even as the elections were fast approaching. “I have been working hard, reaching out to the people, winning them with his development works. But the leaders including some Ministers are not serious even as the elections are fast approaching. They are taking elections not seriously,” he said.

He wanted the party leaders to read in depth the analysis on the Telangana elections. He wanted the party leaders to study and understand how the ruling Telangana Rastra Samithi had won the elections for the second consecutive term and asked them to work on similar lines to win in AP. He further told the party leaders that if people are convinced to vote for a party, any extent of intensive campaign by the Opposition would not stop the victory.

“I have campaigned extensively in Telangana exposing the failures of the TRS government. Even the Congress had carried in depth campaign exposing the TRS corruption and failures. But it did not work for the TDP or the Congress. People have voted for the TRS and this should be understood properly as TDP goes for next election,” Chandrababu Naidu had told the party leaders.

The TDP chief found that a large number of the party leaders are non-serious about the election. He found them inactive in membership drive, grama darsini programme. He wanted them to gear up at least now for the next round of Janma Bhoomi which gives a chance to reach out to the people. He wanted the leaders to be with the people during the 10 days in the first week of January when the Janma Bhoomi programme begins.

As this round of Janma Bhoomi is connected with the State government releasing a set of white papers, he wanted every TDP leader to make best use of the occasion to win the people. He believes that this programme should make people to decide now for the next election. It is to be seen what would be the peoples’ decision by the time the TDP government completes its Janma Bhoomi programme before the Pongal.
