Naidu wants Singapore model government

Intensifying the political heat in the state ahead of the elections, Telugu Desam Party supremo and chief minister Chandrababu Naidu wanted a Singapore model government in the State to ensure continuation of the developmental works. Claiming that he had done everything for everyone in the State in the last four-and-a-half years and had lined up a good number of developmental activities, Chandrababu Naidu favoured continuation of his party in the government even after the elections. He wanted the people to vote for the TDP in the impending election and see that the developmental and welfare programmes continued. He made this while participating in the housewarming ceremony under PMAY NTR Housing programme in Nellore on Saturday.

The TDP chief said that one party is in power in Singapore for the past 50 years and he wanted a similar model in Andhra Pradesh having the TDP in power for decades uninterrupted. This time, after the note for vote case which forced him to leave the common capital and settle down in Vijayawada, Chandrababu Naidu is worshiping everything from Singapore and his dream of having single party government is also drawn from there. Singapore is tied-up with the Andhra Pradesh government for the capital city development and other works. Chandrababu Naidu made several visits to Singapore this time and is in favour of having the Singapore model government under his leadership in AP.

In late 1990s, when he took over the government and party from NTR, Chandrababu Naidu admired the West Bengal model where the CPM had been in power for three decades with Jyothi Basu being its chief minister. Chandrababu Naidu wanted his party activists to work like the CPM activists and he wanted people to support him like the West Bengal people supported Jyothi Basu, who was the long serving chief minister in the country those days.

Now, the CPM is not the preferred one and West Bengal is not the role model for him. Chandrababu Naidu is looking at Singapore for everything and he wants voters also to look at this neighbouring country for everything. But, the big question is will the people worship him as he worships Singapore and give him power again?!
