Why nobody met him?

Pawan Kalyan Jana Sena

It was well publicized that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will visit Delhi to meet the central leaders. It was said that since Parliament is in session, Pawan Kalyan will call on BJP leaders and complain against the state government. However, it is being reported that Pawan Kalyan’s Delhi tour became a bitter experience for him. Though Jana Sena sources said he is going to Delhi on a personal visit, his remarks at Long March clearly indicate that he is going to meet BJP leaders.

In fact Pawan Kalyan did not try to meet BJP leaders since floating Jana Sena. After founding Jana Sena, he only once met Modi. Subsequnetly during 2014 election campaign, he participated in various election meetings in AP along with Narendra Modi. There were also occasions when Modi patted Pawan Kalyan for his thinking. However, after the elections when the Centre made it clear that it can’t accord special status to AP, Pawan Kalyan made comments against Modi. He called for driving out BJP.

After the crushing defeat in 2019 elections, Pawan Kalyan started making harsh comments on Jagan government. The election results shocked him because he did not believe that Jagan will win. He had hoped that if Telugu Desam Party gets some majority, he along with his few seats will extend support and form coalition government. However, with YSRCP getting 151 seats, Pawan Kalyan started strongly opposing Jagan’s decisions. As part of this he led Long March on sand scarcity.

Before Long March a war of words broke out between YSRCP and Jana Sena leaders. YSRCP leaders resorted to personal attacks on Pawan. Pawan Kalyan vowed to respond to this by going to Delhi. However, Pawan Kalyan did not get any appointment in Delhi for four days. It is being said that since Amit Shah was busy with Maharashtra politics, Pawan did not get his appointment. After meeting Amit Shah he had planned to call on Modi. It is learnt that he did not try to get an appointment with Modi. It is said that he did not get proper response from BJP leaders. Overall, Pawan Kalyan’s Delhi visit concluded without any excitement.
