The ruling YSR Congress leaders claimed that the Visakhapatnam long march of the Jana Sena had exposed the party’s nexus with the Telugu Desam Party. The two parties have organised the event though it was initially called by the Jana Sena. While all other parties kept away from the event, it was the TDP which took the initiative to make the event a big hit. The TDP helped the Jana Sena in mobilising the crowd.
The YSR Congress leaders Ambati Rambabu, Amanchi Krishna Mohan and Lakshmi Parvathi took strong exception to Pawan Kalyan blaming the government on sand issues. They asked the Jana Sena chief to visit the rivers in the State and see for himself whether sand could be excavated. They wanted to know how sand could be mined when the rivers are flowing with flood water.
The YSR Congress leaders also question the Jana Sena chief for not holding such protests during the last five years of the TDP rule. The TDP mafia dominated the sand issues and Pawan Kalyan never questioned it. The building workers fund to the tune of Rs 1200 crore was diverted by the TDP government and Pawan Kalyan never questioned it. The National Green Tribunal had imposed a penalty of Rs 100 crore on the government for destroying environment by indiscriminate sand mining in the rivers and Pawan Kalyan never questioned the TDP rule, the YSR Congress leaders said.
Lakshmi Parvathi went one step forward and sought to advice the Jana Sena chief to come out of the shadow of Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP. She alleged that Naidu uses leaders for his political advantage and throws them out once the purpose is served. She cited the number of people who were used and discarded by Chandrababu Naidu and advised Pawan Kalyan not to be the victim of Chandrababu Naidu’s opportunist politics.
