Rapaka is the winner in Jana Sena

It is difficult to predict when the situation turns favourable for one in politics. Rapaka Varaprasad, who was elected from Rajolu on Jana Sena ticket, is currently on cloud nine. Whatever he does there is nobody to question him. No matter what he says, there is neither anybody to demand action against him nor to take action. There is a discussion going on over Rapaka Varaprasad not just in his constituency but in the entire state. What happens when a party leader speaks or acts against the party line? We see that even in Communist parties which have no representation, disciplinary action is taken.

For instance, CPI’s senior most leader Narayana supported the recent encounter that took place after Disha incident in Hyderabad. This was against Communist ideology. That’s why from Galli to Delhi there were complaints against him. The party leadership was getting ready to take action against him. Immediately after coming to know of this, Narayana tendered public apology. If this is the norm in communist parties, what happened to Jana Sena which was looking to strengthen itself with the help of these parties. Party chief Pawan Kalyan is targeting Jagan, his government, ministers and their policies.

However, his party’s lone MLA Rapaka Varaprasad, who should have followed in his footsteps, is doing whatever he likes and what makes the ruling party happy. He is bathing Jagan’s photograph with milk. He said openly on the floor of the Assembly that Telugu medium is waste. He even asked if those who were defeated from both the constituencies have the courage to take action against him. Everybody wanted to know what action Jana Sena chief will take against Rapaka Varaprasad but he is observing silence.

Rapaka Varaprasad is publicly saying that besides Jana Sena his own future is also important for him. He said he will take decision for his future. He said in the previous election, Pawan Kalyan said he had no desire to be the CM but at least now he should have this desire. He also stated that Jana Sena is not at all in good position at the grass root level and if the same situation continues the party will have no future. Seeking an explanation over this or serving show cause notice is also a headache for Pawan. There are speculations that the lone MLA is waiting for an opportunity. Jana Sena leader is caught in a dilemma over the issue of Rapaka Varaprasad. It remains to be seen how long this will continue.
