With elections nearing, Tamil Nadu politics is heating up. Analysts say that Tamil Nadu has required political awareness. The Assembly elections, the first after death of Karunanidhi and Jayalalitha, will be keenly fought. Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are scheduled in 2021. In this context, ruling AIADK and opposition DMK have intensified efforts to somehow win the polls. Especially DMK leader Stalin has gone a step forward. He appointed Prashanth Kishore as the election strategist.
The ensuing elections in Tamil Nadu are likely to create a sensation. Both DMK, AIADMK are facing host of problems. On the other hand Kamal Haasan with his party Makkal Needhi Maiam is already in the midst of people. Super star Rajinikanth is also trying to come before the people with his party. Rajinikanth said that his party will contest the Assembly elections. Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan parties are likely to join hands to contest the polls.
Will this dash the hopes of DMK chief Stalin? One can’t rule out this. He may be concerned over Rajini and Kalam craze hitting the prospects of his party’s victory. That’s why Stalin is taking all precautions to make sure that the parties do not leave the alliance led by DMK. The national parties have limited influence in Tamil Nadu. It is the regional parties which call the shots. Realising that Rajinikanth can have greater impact, Stalin roped in Prashanth Kishore.
Prashanth Kishore has become election strategist for all regional parties in the country. He is helping Trinamool Congress in West Bengal and Aam Admi Party in Delhi. In the recent elections in AP, Prashanth Kishore worked as the election strategist for YSRCP and helped the party score a historic win. As a result all regional parties are looking towards Prashanth Kishore. It is a fact that DMK leader Stalin roped in Prashanth Kishore to check Rajinikanth wave. Rival parties are criticizing Stalin that scared of Rajinikanth wave, he is taking the help of Prashanth Kishore.
