The Opposition Telugu Desam Party is planning to launch State-wide agitation from September 11, to highlight the failures of the YSR Congress government. This was announced by former chief minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu in the party office at Guntur.
The TDP supremo said that the government had failed on all fronts in the last three months. The YSR Congress had targeted the TDP workers and so far it had resorted to 499 attacks on the TDP workers at the grassroots. The TDP had opened a rehabilitation center for the victims at Guntur and made an appeal to all the victims to come and take shelter in that centre. This is to highlight the political victimisation of the YSR Congress government.
Chandrababu Naidu also formed a committee to take care of the victims. The committee would be headed by G V Anjaneyulu, the party Guntur district unit president. Former minister Nakka Ananda Babu, MLAs, Gadde Ramamohan, Maddali Giridhar and MLC P Ashok Babu were named as members of this committee. The rehabilitation center would be headed by party senior leaders Guntupalli Nageswara Rao and Chittabathini Chitti Babu.
The TDP would launch Chalo Atmakuru on September 11 to fight against the excesses of the YSR Congress against the TDP leaders. The TDP chief alleged that several of the TDP leaders have come out of this village due to attacks by the YSR Congress. Chandrababu Naidu would lead them back to the village on the day.
Chandrababu Naidu blamed the Chief Minister for not finding any progress in the murder of his uncle Y S Vivekananda Reddy. “This government had completely failed in its first 100 days. The chief minister could not even find any progress in the murder case of his own uncle. What can he do for the people,” Chandrababu Naidu asked. He said he would undertake extensive campaign across the State against the YSR Congress government and its failures, besides the atrocities being committed by the ruling party.
