The twitter handle on Friday saw a war of words between two top politicians of Andhra Pradesh. The twitter accounts of these two leaders were followed by several people across the two Telugu States.
It all started with CBI former joint director V V Lakshminarayana claiming to win 88 Assembly seats for the Jana Sena in this election and form the government. Lakshminarayana is the Jana Sena candidate for Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency. He claimed, in an interview, that the Jana Sena would form the next government in Andhra Pradesh.
YSR Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy reacted to this claim. He tweeted asking whether Lakshminarayana was clear on his numbers or not. “The Jana Sena contested for 65 Assembly seats. How can he claim to win 88 seats when his party contested only 65 seats? Is that the way you (Lakshminarayana) worked on the numbers in the CBI?” Vijayasai Reddy asked.
The CBI former joint director, who handled Jaganmohan Reddy’s cases in which Vijayasai Reddy is A2, reacted sharply to this tweet. He said, “The Jana Sena contested 140 Assembly seats, leaving 21 for BSP and 14 for CPI and CPM. This would make out to 175 seats. We are correct in our numbers.” In another tweet, Lakshminarayana said that “We are clear in our numbers. You are a Chartered Accountant. If you go wrong in the numbers it would cause trouble to some. You are already in trouble (with the Jangan’s cases). Be correct in your numbers at least from now.”
The tweets and the counter tweets by the two leaders have gone viral in the social media. Even the mainstream media followed these tweets and gave due representation. As there are 34 days left for the counting in the State, the war of words among the political rivals is taking new twists and turns every day. It is to be seen who would be the next to lock horns in the social media.
