YSR Congress Parliamentary Party leader and Rajya Sabha member, V Vijayasai Reddy, gave a surprise to the Telugu States by writing a letter to the Chief Justice of India, seeking CBI and ED probe against TV9 founder Ravi Prakash.
In an open letter, the MP told the chief justice that the TV9 founder had indulged in money laundering and had invested heavily in different countries. He sought thorough probe into the activities of the journalist and take stringent action against him.
The YSR Congress MP said that Ravi Prakash has close links with business broker, Sana Satish, who is also being investigated by the ED and the CBI. He said that both Ravi Prakash and Satish have business links and they are to be probed by the CBI and ED jointly.
Ravi Prakash is already serving his jail period in Chanchalguda Central prison in Hyderabad on judicial remand in a cheating case, filed by the new management of the TV9. It is alleged, Ravi Prakash, along with two colleagues, had looted Rs 18 crore from the company without the knowledge of the management.
The ruling YSR Congress is going tough against its political rivals and Ravi Prakash episode is one such battle by the YSR Congress. Ravi Prakash, besides others, was in the anti-Jagan camp along with the TDP, Andhra Jyothi and Eenadu for all these years.
He had benefited from the TDP and others for being anti-Jaganmohan Reddy and anti-YSR Congress for all these years. Now, sitting comfortably in power, the YSR Congress is playing its cards. The political battle is like a war and the winner will have the advantage to take revenge against his rivals. That is what is happening in Andhra Pradesh.
