Governor ESL Narasimhan had made an unscheduled visit to Vijayawada on Tuesday. His visit was communicated to the State government in the late hours of Monday. He met chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy in the hotel. He also met Jaganmohan Reddy’s close aide and family member Y V Subba Reddy, who is also TTD chairman. The Governor had no other programme except to closet with the chief minister, which went on for two hours. His meeting with Subba Reddy went on for half-an-hour. Later the Governor left the hotel to the airport along with Subba Reddy.
Going by the minute to minute programme of the Governor and the incidents happening in the two Telugu States, it is suspected that Narasimhan had some important message from the Central government. He delivered it promptly and silently.
The Governor had come to Vijayawada only to meet the chief minister. If there is anything concerning the State, the Governor would have asked the chief minister to see him in Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad. But, he flew all the way from Hyderabad to Vijayawada indicates that he had some important message to be communicated to the chief minister.
The Governor’s unscheduled visit has some dots to be connected, which are happening in the two Telugu States ever since Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Hyderabad. He declared that the BJP would form the next government in Telangana. After he left the State, there was a CBI raid on My Homes Group chairman Jupally Rameswara Rao, who is close to TS chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Then there was a CBI raid on Enforcement Directorate former official, Bollineni Sreenivasa Gandhi, known to be a close aide of TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu.
Jaganmohan Reddy and his associate, Vijayasai Reddy have earlier petitioned to the Prime Minister accusing Gandhi of leaking information to the TDP leaders. Gandhi handled the cases against Jaganmohan Reddy and every time there was a raid on Jagan, the information was leaked to the TDP leaders. Now, Gandhi is under the CBI scan, who are unearthing disproportionate assets from him.
If all these are connected to the emergency and unscheduled visit of the Governor to Vijayawada and his exclusive meeting with the chief minister indicate that he came with a clear message to Jaganmohan Reddy from the Central government. The message could be either to convey that he would be safe and his rivals would be put in CBI scan or to ask him to keep a distance from the TS chief minister. Whatever was the message, the Governor had dutifully delivered it as desired by the Central government.
