The Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had issued a statement the other day on the government’s YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme. The Jana Sena chief in a lengthy statement found some lapses in implementation of the Rythu Bharosa scheme by the government.
Like the Telugu Desam Party leaders, who have been blaming the government for including Central government’s Rs 6000 in the scheme and splitting the money into three instalments, the Jana Sena chief also posed the same questions to the government. He said that the YSR Congress had promised to pay Rs 12,500 to the farmers without a mention of the Central government’s Rs 6000. He further said that the YSR Congress had also promised to pay the total amount in a single instalment.
However, with the government now including the Central government’s Rs 6,000 and splitting it into three instalments, the Jana Sena chief sought an explanation from the government. He even wanted an apology from the government to the farming community calling it as betrayal and backward step.
The YSR Congress leaders, in reply to the Jana Sena chief wanted to know why Pawan Kalyan is singing the tunes of the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. They are blaming the Jana Sena chief for not questioning or seeking apology from Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP for failure to implement the loan waiver promise to the farmers in five years.
Pawan Kalyan was a witness to the TDP’s loan waiver promise in the 2014 elections as he had aligned with the TDP and BJP in the elections. He had even pledged to stand guarantee to these promise during the election campaign, but never questioned the TDP for not implementing the loan waiver. The TDP had not paid the last two instalments of the loan waiver scheme and had gone back on the promise of total loan waiver to scale it down to Rs 1.50 lakh.
By singing to the tunes of the TDP, the Jana Sena chief is thus becoming easy target for the ruling YSR Congress leaders.
