YSRCP MPs in rest mode ?

YSR Congress Party won an incredible number of Lok Sabha seats in the state. By bagging 22 out of total 25 seats in the state, it set a huge record. It is such a massive record that it is doubtful if the same or any other party in future will sweep so many seats. With such a large number of seats, it was thought that a miracle will happen in Andhra Pradesh and the gulf between the Centre and Andhra Pradesh will be bridged. Since Jagan himself said this during election campaign, all had pinned their hopes after the results were declared.

Even on the day when results were announced, it was said the special category status to the state will come automatically. Though Andhra Pradesh people gave 22 MPs to YSRCP, this party is not even raising the issue of special status. YSRCP MPs have forgotten that there is an issue called special status. These 22 MPs are focusing mainly on people’s issues and state issues. Most of them have been elected to the Parliament for the first time and hence comments are being made that they have no command over the situation.

Among them Adala Prabhakar Reddy, Magunta Srinivasula Reddy, Visakha MP MVV Satyanarayana have again became busy with their businesses. Bellana Chandrashekhar and Nandigam Suresh were elected but they not even know what to do in constituency and how to conduct themselves with the officials. Bellana’s voice is not heard in Vizianagaram constituency. Nandigam landed himself in a controversy due to his fight with party MLA in Bapatla. The condition of women MPs like Vanga Geeta is no different. She worked as Rajya Sabha member in the past but she can’t even use that seniority to speak. Majority among the rest are newcomers and die-hard fans of Jagan. They don’t know what to do and are confined to YSRCP office.

The less we talk about YSRCP MPs like Ankapalli MP Satyavati, Amalapuram MP Chinta Anuradha and Araku MP Goddeti Madhavi, it is better. Among the rest, Rajamahendravaram MP Margani Bharat is okay. He has control over the issues in the constituency. Similarly Eluru MP Sridhar is also very active. He is doing his best to solve the problems in the constituency. He is using his contacts abroad to get investments for the state.

Similarly first time MP Lau Krishna Devaraylu from Narsraopet is also working hard for the constituency. He is focusing on the funds to be received from the Centre for the constituency. The MP who is from backward Palnadu region is working hard to get railway projects, water projects and setting up of educational institutes. The remaining are there just for namesake. The MPs are not coming out except on few occasions like inaugurations. What are Seema MPs doing? And where are they? These questions are beyond comprehension. It has been six-moth since they were elected but they are still in rest mood and this is said to be troubling YSRCP.
