Hyderabad: A video is doing rounds on social media, claiming that Apple iPhones were found in a container floating in the sea when people in a passing ship spotted and opened it.

Fact Check:
The claim is false.
First, after searching the internet about this incident with relevant words, various videos related to it were found on the YouTube channel ' Denis Mikhailenko'. In a video uploaded on August 3, 2018, people on board can be seen pulling the container towards the ship. On June 3, 2020, another video was posted in which it can be seen that the people in the ship opened the container and took the boxes in it. The explanation below the video states what was found inside the boxes.

The cigarette company name "D&B" can be seen on these boxes in the full video last posted on August 18, 2021. Also, it can be seen that "First Quality tobacco deluxe filter" was written on the boxes.
We checked the "D&B" company logo and it matches with the scenes in the viral video. Further, neither any news agency nor the Apple company announced that iPhones were found in a container.
Hence, the claim is false. There's no evidence that iPhones were found in the missing container in the video.
