The video is shared out of context to make a false claim. She was not talking about CM Revanth Reddy when he made the comments
The Congress government in Telangana, headed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, has completed 1 year in rule in December 2024. The Congress party made several promises in its election manifesto. It ousted the BRS government and won the trust of the state citizens. This manifesto was full of welfare and reform measures that were left unfulfilled by the previous BRS government. The opposition parties in the state are raising questions about the fulfillment of these promises and are devising strategies to unsettle the ruling party, by highlighting the pending guarantees.
Meanwhile, a video showing Congress MLA Seethakka, who is known for her frank and sensational comments, is being widely shared on social media, claiming that she is questioning CM Revanth Reddy for not fulfilling his promises made during the elections.
In the video, we can first hear promises made by CM during various public meetings on different occasions. Fact Check:
The claim is False. The video is edited to make false claims, she is not commenting on Telangana CM Revanth Reddy.
When we searched for news reports about negative comments from MLA Seethakka about Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, we did not find any such reports.
When we extracted the keyframes from the viral video and searched them using reverse image search, we found an interview conducted by Big TV Nalgonda with the title Minister Seethakka Special Interview | తమ్ముడు రేవంత్ కి నా సూచన ఇదే.. | CM Revanth Reddy | BIGTV. This interview was published on March 6, 2025. The viral part can be seen from 6.22 minutes to 6.30 minutes. The content of the interview is used out of context. In this video, we can hear Seethakka stating that some people belonging to opposition parties are spreading false propaganda, even when the ministers and the government are working hard. In the interview, she can be heard listing out the important works done by the present Congress government. She also states that the opposition is implementing their own personal agenda in spite of the great work done by the government. Throughout the interview, she is seen supporting the Congress government. No negative comments against the government were made by her.
We found that the same video had been shared on the X by a handle named Big TV Breaking News on March 5, 2025. Seethakka can be seen criticizing the opposition parties but not the Congress CM Revanth Reddy.
Hence, the comments of Congress Minister Seethakka, that were made against opposition parties are taken out of context and are shared with false claims. The claim is False.
