A video showing huge crowds with people raising slogans is being circulating on the social media with the claim that it shows the people protesting in Kolkata against the comments on Prophet Mohammad.

The claim that the video shows protests against anti-Prophet Mohammad remarks in Kolkata is FALSE.
When we performed Google Reverse Image Search, we found that the video is NOT recent and is from January 2021. This is taken from a video of religious gathering in Lahore, Pakistan that took place in January 2021 in memory of Khadim Hussain Rizvi. The day marked 40 days after the death of Khadim Hussain Rizvi, which is also called Chehlum. Khadim Hussain Rizvi was the leader of Tehreek-e-labbaik, an extremist political party in Pakistan.
The visuals of this gathering was uploaded by several youtube channels, where similar visuals as the viral video can be seen.
A news report was also published on a news website named Baaghi TV.com

The same visuals as the viral video can be seen in a video shared by on of the Twitter account on January 3. 2021.

These were also shared on a youtube video posted by a news channel Labbaik News on January 2021. The video is titled "Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi Chehlum | TLP Chehlum 2021"

Therefore, the visuals seen in the viral video is from Lahore, Pakistan and NOT from Kolkata. The claim that the video show protests in Kolkata against comments on Phophet Mohammad is FALSE.
