A video having a compilation of a few images and a bhajan in the background is going viral with the claim that the bhajan heard in the background was sung by Indian PM Narendra Modi.
The video is shared with the caption “Guess who is singing this Ram Bhajan?? It is none other than the Prime Minister of our country, Hon'ble Shri Narendra Modi ji. Blessed is the country where the Prime Minister is the one who knows and understands such religious faith and culture….It is a matter of great pride.”
This claim was viral in 2022 also.
Fact check:
The claim that the singer of the bhajan in the video is Indian PM Modi is false. The singer of the bhajan is Prembhushanji Maharaj.
When listening to the bhajan carefully, we found the words as “nar sharir anmol re prani”. When searching using these keywords, we found several YouTube videos relating to this bhajan.
One of these videos with the same visuals as the viral video is also found here. Though the video has no name of the artist who sang the song, one of the comments on this video states that the bhajan was sung by Prembhushanji Maharaj.
We also found another video by a YouTube channel named ‘Nirankar Bhakti’ which states that the original song was sung by Pujya Prembhushanji Maharaj.
By searching with his name along with the words from bhajan, we found the original video published on the YouTube channel Pujya Prembhushanji Maharaj with the title “Ram Naam eke Sabun se.. Narayan mil Jayega *Pujya Prembhushanji Maharaj* Bhajan”. This video was published in March 2021.
Therefore, the bhajan heard in the viral video was sung by Prembhushanji Maharaj but not PM Modi. The claim is false.
