Fact Check: Rahul Gandhi’s nameplate at Cambridge University did not mention his name as Rahul Rajiv Feroz

An image of Rahul Gandhi, a Congress leader with the nameplate ‘Rahul Rajiv Feroz’ is doing rounds on social media. The post claims that when Rahul Gandhi visited Cambridge University and gave a speech at an event, his nameplate showed “Rahul Rajiv Feroz, Gold from Potato expert, Wayanad, Kerala”.

Fact Check:
The claim is false. The image is a morphed one.
When we performed Google reverse image search on the viral image, we found a few news articles that published the same image as the viral image in them. The report published on ABP Live.com which mentions about the lecture delivered by Rahul Gandhi on the topic of ‘Learning to listen in the 21st century’, published in March 2023, shares the viral image but there is nothing written on the nameplate.

This image was shared by reports on Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Cambridge University in News 18 and ETV Bharat.
Therefore, the image shared is a morphed one and the text seen on the nameplate has been added to the original image shared in the news reports. The Cambridge did not mention his name as ‘Rahul Rajiv Feroz, Gold from Potato expert, Wayanad, Kerala’. The claim is false.
