Meanwhile, a video of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Revanth Reddy speaking at a public meeting is going viral with the claim that as people do not believe in the promises made by the Congress party, they have decided to distribute Rs 10,000 liquor bottles per a vote in Telangana.
The video is in circulation with the caption in Telugu “కాంగ్రెస్ హామీలను ఎవరు నమ్మడం లేదని పబ్లిక్ గా ఒప్పుకున్న రేవంత్ రెడ్డి”. When translated, it claims that Revanth Reddy admits publicly that the people do not believe the promises made by the Congress party.
In the video, we can see Revanth Reddy making a statement that people do not believe in our promises, so we need to distribute Rs 10,000 and 2 bottles of liquor per vote to win in this election.

The claim is False. The video is edited. Revanth Reddy did not imply that the Congress party was going to distribute the money.
When we searched the images extracted from the video, we found that the original speech was given by Revanth Reddy at Tungaturthi during his election campaign. Several media channels streamed this event live on November 24, 2023.
After observing the video streamed by ABN Telugu on November 24, 2023, we found the viral part in the live stream. Here we can see Revanth Reddy stating: “Yesterday evening KCR called an emergency meeting at Pragati Bhavan. He said to everyone there that people don’t trust us anymore. People did not believe our promises in the election. That’s why KCR decided to buy votes by giving Rs 10,000 for every vote and to give two full bottles”. He further continues his speech.
