The viral pictures claiming to depict Shahrukh Khan when he was a kid, are in fact, Artificial Intelligence-generated images.
Amid high level of misinformation circulating on social media, AI is making fake news harder to fact-check than ever before. And as technology advances, we can expect these cases to grow. A couple of pictures in circulation on social media claim to be of Shahrukh Khan during his childhood.

Fact Check:
The claim is false.
We ran a Google reverse image search and found that the first picture was featured in a gallery uploaded on the Filmfare magazine website on August 31, 2023. This information shows that the picture was artificially generated.
Second image:
Further, we used Hive Moderation, a tool used for assessing AI-generated images, for the second viral picture. The tool showed results that the photo was AI-created with 88.9%.
We compared the viral images with authentic childhood photos of Shahrukh Khan on sources such as inuth.com and indiatvnews.com. The dissimilarities confirmed that the viral images were fabricated.
Hence, the claim is false. The viral pictures claiming to depict Shahrukh Khan in his childhood are, in fact, AI generated.
