A video showing a red-coloured car floating in the floodwater in a street in the city has been shared by Twitter handle @bjp_telangana01. This tweet has been retweeted many times and has been viewed by more than 11,000 people.

Fact Check:
Firstly, when we observed the Twitter handle carefully, we can see that it is not a genuine handle of BJP Telangana. The handle @bjp_telangana01 has only 255 followers and has joined Twitter only in August 2021. The description of the handle states that it belongs to a media personality. So, this handle is not the genuine handle of the BJP party in Telangana.
When searched, we found the real handle of BJP Telangana is @BJP4Telangana which has 256,000 followers. This handle provides the link to Telangana.bjp.org. There are more than 32,000 tweets on this account. It joined Twitter in July 2016.
Here is the comparison of both handles.
When we performed a reverse image search on Yandex, we found a few videos shared by individual social media accounts in the year 2020.
A YouTube account named I’m Cool shared this video with the title ‘Floating Car’ on October 14, 2020.
Taking a cue from this video, when searched using the keywords ‘Cars float in rainwater’ on YouTube, we found the same video shared as a short video published with the title ‘Cars float in Hyderabad rain water’. This was published on October 15, 2020.
Another video published by the News outlet Samayam Telugu also shared the viral clipping of a red car floating away in the floodwater on road. The video is published with the title “Hyderabad heavy rains effect | Cars Floating On Road ||Samayam Telugu”.
According to a report published by NDTV on October 14, 2020, a car swept towards other cars which were already on top of each other in a flooded street in Secunderabad.
Therefore, the video shared is an old one showing a car in the floodwaters in the streets of Hyderabad city in the year 2020. Hyderabad is facing severe rainfall this year too but the viral video is an old one from 2020. The claim is false.
