‘Abhimanyudu’ short & sweet review

Vishal, who is a Telugu, is marching ahead in Kollywood as a star and by doing films with strong story base, he has been scoring hits. After scoring a hit with ‘Detective’, Vishal has now given another unprecedented commercial hit with ‘Irumbu Thirai’. The film shows how people suffer due to cyber crime and technology. In this movie Samantha is the heroine while senior hero Arjun has acted villain. Under the direction of P. S. Mitran, this film was released in Telugu as ‘Abhimanyudu’. Celebrity commercial shows have completed. In this short review by Telugupost.com, we look at the kind of feedback this film has received.

Use of social media and technology has increased in the society. Mobile phones in our hand have many benefits but there is equal number of problems. The theme of the story is how cyber criminals are using technology to cheat people. Mitran has presented this movie with a good message. A youth who has gone away from the family joins military and he looks very angry.

Finally, due to a condition he meets Samantha, who is a psychiatrist. Meanwhile, the amount he borrows for marriage and settling down disappears from his account. He comes to know that villain White Devil (Arjun) is behind this. Finally what Devil does and how Vishal keeps a vigil and lastly how the story ends. The film moves ahead with suspense on these lines. After watching this movie, we come to know how we are being cheated by the magic of technology and what is happening around us without our knowledge.

Technology frauds, bank frauds and what happens when our data goes into the hands of others? How do we get cheated? All these issues have been dealt well. While film story and script are positives, songs, dialogues and scenes are minuses. The movie has come with a good technology message. If ‘Abhimanyudu’ alerts us all, it is a good a movie. We have to see how this movie connects itself in B and C centres. Will meet with a full review soon.
