Ram Gopal Varma has done what was being expected. He has trained his guns on Chandrababu. So far with the title ‘Lakhsmi’s NTR’ and film characters he had rattled all. Now with the trailer of this movie, Ram Gopal Varma has targeted Babu and fired at him. Not only this. He did not even spare Nandamuri family. However, he showed Mohan Babu in somewhat positive angle. The trailer shows that NTR suffered all the pain because of his son-in-law. The whole thing is projected in a manner to bring tears in the eyes of audience. How TDP cadres, Nandamuri and Nara families take this act of RGV is something we have to wait and watch for.
Coming to the trailer. It begins with ‘Rama Rama’ background score and this dialogue from ‘Adavi Ramudu’ on screen ‘He cheated because I trusted him’. It says the story is set in the days that followed NTR’s crushing defeat in 1989 elections. After NTR’s defeat in elections, he becomes lonely as the family members leave him. He keeps talking to somebody over phone. On a rainy day a woman comes to him and tells ‘Swamy I am Lakshmi Parvathi who spoke to you over phone’. Thus Lakshmi Parvathi enters NTR’s life. She gives support to a lonely NTR and serves him. Referring to Lakshmi Parvathi a dialogue is heard in the background ‘she is spending even the nights there’.
Mohan Babu’s character has been shown as positive for Lakshmi Parvathi and NTR. “Hats off to you. A great speech,” says Mohan Babu. “She is Lakshmi Parvathi..She is writing my biography’ This is how NTR introduces Lakshmi Parvathi to TDP leaders and his son-in-law Chandrababu. With papers publishing dirty stories about NTR and Lakshmi Parvathi, she asks ‘What is this Swamy’. Addressing the press, NTR asks “Is it for physical pleasure..or some other personal gain.” In the background Chandrababu is heard telling Nandamuri family ‘If a son is born to her, your family is finished.’ NTR brings Lakshmi Parvathi into politics along with him and also marries her. Varma has also shown the scene in which NTR could be seen standing in front of Viceroy Hotel with chappals being thrown at him. Finally it is projected that NTR suffered because of him. The trailer ends with this dialogue of NTR. ‘The only mistake I committed in my entire life was trusting him’.
NTR getting distanced from the family by marrying Lakshmi Parvathi, backstabbing by Chandrababu, boycott faces by NTR from daughters and sons, the up and downs in NTR’s political career were all shown in the trailer by Ram Gopal Varma. If Varma can create so much sensation with trailer, imagine what will he do when theatrical trailer will be released on February 22 when ‘Mahanayakudu’ is getting released in theatres. If Chandrababu says ‘Rama Rama’ after watching ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ trailer, there is nothing wrong in it.
