A class film and a mass movie were released last Friday for competition at the box-office. One is Telugu straight movie and the second is a dubbing film. While class movie is Nani’s ‘Jersey’, mass cinema is ‘Kanchana 3’ of Raghava Lawrence. With Nani-Shraddha Srinath as the lead pair and directed by Gautam Tinnanuri, ‘Jersey’ has been produced by Sitara Entertainment. With blockbuster talk, ‘Jersey’ is rocking in theatres. Audiences are falling for the direction of Gautam Tinnanuri, story, screenplay, acting of Nani and Sharaddha Srinath, Anirudh’s background music, cinematography and dialogues. Duration is a bit long and despite logging scenes here and there, these shortcomings are not visible amid all positive points. Thus ‘Jersey’ attracted the class audience.
Meanwhile, targetting the mass audience ‘Kanchana 3’ directed by Raghava Lawrence and starring himself as the hero was also released in theatres. ‘Kanchana 3’ was made in Tamil. Lawrence dubbed it in Telugu and released in both the languages. As Lawrence has good market in Telugu, ‘Kanchana 3’ did good business here. However, ‘Kanchana 3’ failed to live up to the expectations. Though Raghava’s acting is good, ‘Kanchana 3’ is nothing more than a routine movie. Raghava thought of scaring audience with the devil but the audience are running away from watching this routine movie. Review writers have also trashed the movie. ‘Kanchana 3’ is not like ‘Kanchana’ and ‘Ganga’. It is a routine mass masala movie and hence it received negative points. Thus class movie ‘Jersey’ has won the battle over mass movie ‘Kanchana 3’.
