In the month of May, only one big movie hit the box-office. Mahesh Babu’s ‘Maharshi’ was released on May 9. Though the film got average feedback, the film unit claimed that the film was super hit. Allu Sirish’s ‘ABCD’ released in the following week and the subsequently released movies like ‘Seetha’ were rejected by the viewers. Summer holidays came to an end in a boring and dry fashion. In another week’s time schools are also re-opening. Meanwhile, this week ‘Seven’ and ‘Hippi’ were released and both of them hugely disappointed the viewers.
During summer holidays big budget movies create huge hungama. However, this summer except ‘Maharshi’ there is not a single big budget film. Surya’s Tamil movie ‘NGK” was released with good expectations but this too proved a flop. Even this month no big movie will be seen. In the first week of June ‘Seven’ and ‘Hippi’ were released and subsequently only small movies will hit the screen. Seven-eight movies like ‘Mallesham’, ‘Game Over’, Agent Sai Srinivas Atreya’, ‘Vishwamitra’, ‘Killer’ , ‘Vajra Kavacha Dhara Govinda’ will be released during June. This year only ‘Saaho’ and ‘Sye Raa’ are the only two big budget movies. There is still two months for the release of these movies. Meanwhile, only small movies will make noise at Box-Office. Whatever it may be, like May, June also does not look very promising for viewers.
