‘Dear Comrade’ starring sensational hero Vijay Devarkonda proved a disaster. Audience rejected the movie which is very slow. It is already known that this film’s Hindi rights were bought by well-known Bollywood producer director Karan Johar.
Before the release of this movie, Karan Johar after watching it at the special screening tweeted that it is a beautiful love story and he liked it. Karan was reported to be keen to take Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor for the Hindi remake. For this Shahid Kapoor is said to have demanded a whopping Rs.40 crore remuneration.
However, recently there were Bollywood media reports which quoted Shahid as saying that he has made it clear that he will not do this film. Shahid Kapoor acted in ‘Arjun Reddy’ remake. There is a talk that he said no to ‘Dear Comrade’ remake as he was afraid that this will not help him impress the audience.
