Comedy entertainer ‘F2’ with low budget and simplicity was released early this year and it rocked to become the year’s first blockbuster. Trampling several big films, it went on to become a big hit and gave Rs.60 crore collections to producer Dil Raju. As there was no good film for two months after the release of ‘F2’ it became a blockbuster hit in terms of collections. One and half month after its release, ‘F2’ was also shown on Amazon Prime. However, the response seen in theatres was not there on Amazon Prime. There was a news that ‘F2’ was hit in theatres but flop on Amazon.
‘F2” which was blockbuster on silver screen could not show its power on television screen. After ‘Baahubali’, ‘Geetha Govindam’ was on top and after that last year’s blockbuster movie ‘Rangasthalam’ proved the best in TRP ratings on the television screen. The channels who hoped that ‘F2’ will run like it did in theatres were disappointed. Three months after its release, telecast on ‘Maa’ TV but got only 17.2 rating. ‘F2” which proved a blockbuster hit on silver screen failed to mesmerise the audience on television. The reason is said to be the fact that families did not like ‘F2’ second half.
