‘Majili’ released last Friday has given some relief to the audience. This movie has somewhat quenched the thirst of the audience, yearning for some good movie for last two months. Released at a time when theatres were deserted ‘Majili’ has cashed on the situation. With full bookings in first week-end, ‘Majili’ reached break-even in just four days. Even on Monday it did well in terms of bookings. However, from Tuesday its collection started dropping. The audience rush in theatres came down from Tuesday. It is said that ‘Majili’ failed to attract a section of audience commercially. It connected well with multiplex audience compared to B and C centres and that’s why there was drop in collections since Tuesday.
‘Majili’ has joined the list of films of Naga Chaitanya which achieved break-even. However, it may not go down as the biggest hit in Naga Chaitanya’s career. It is said that though ‘Majili’ achieved the break-even and started making profits, it will not be huge profits for the producer. But this film will be known as one of the good movies in Chaitu’s career.
