Mythri Movies stops a film on Sukumar’s advise

Sukumar has unbreakable ties with Mayitri Movies. Sukumar teamed up with Mythri Movies before ‘Rangasthalam’. After ‘Rangasthalam’ the relations between Sukumar and Mythri further strengthened. Meanwhile, there are reports that Mythri Movies have deliberately stopped a movie at the instance of Sukumar. Tamil film ‘Tehri’ is being remade in Telugu with the title ‘Kanakadurga. This film in the combination of Ravi Teja and Santosh Srinivas was  scheduled to be launched under the production of Mythri Movies but it was stopped in the last minute.

It is said that Mythri Movies stopped the movie on the ground that a remake of a Tamil film which was a hit in 2016 will not work out now. However, a report in film circles has triggered a storm that Sukumar is behind this. Sukumar is not only a director but also makes small budget films. It is said that due to his relationship with Mythri, even the films committed by Mythri Movies are finalised by Sukumar after going through the stories. As part of this Sukumar is learnt to have told Myrthi Movies that if ‘Tehri’ remake is done it will be a routine mass formula and it will not be a commercial success. After Sukumar expressed his view, Myrthi Movies said to have dumped ‘Tehri’ remake. Though this film was stopped, Mythri Movies reportedly assured Santosh Srinivas that they will definitely do another movie with him.
