Chandrababu Naidu’s Nava Nirmana Deeksha again

One more year in a row, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu plans to have the Nava Nirmana Deeksha on June 2, the bifurcation day. The event that starts with a public meeting at Benz Circle in Vijayawada and concludes with another public meeting on June 8, the day when Chandrababu Naidu assumed charge as Chief Minister in 2014.

Chandrababu Naidu had decided to have this programme instead of State Formation Day where he blames the Congress for bifurcation and tries to motivate people to work hard for the development of the State. This year, the Chief Minister would be targeting the BJP for the post-bifurcation issues, blaming the prime minister and the BJP for not helping the state and betraying the people.

The historical Benz Circle would be closed for the programme with the police diverting the traffic on the national highway. The Circle sees the vehicles of Chennai-Kolkata and Machilipatnam-Hyderabad national highways besides the city traffic and that would be diverted for this event now.  This event is seen as the extension of the TDP’s Mahanadu, organised by the State government, as the Chief Minister would make more political speech than the official.

The entire State administration would be pushed to organise such meetings for the next one week with every village witnessing series of meetings where the speakers from the ruling Telugu Desam Party and the State government giving lectures on the achievements of Chandrababu Naidu in the last four years.

The irony is that the State government money and machinery would be engaged for one week to speak for Chandrababu Naidu and his TDP. The speeches would be more political targeting the rivals on every subject and on every day. This is perhaps can be called as the TDP’s Mahanadu organised by the government. That would be the extent of money and influence that the TDP would be utilising from the State exchequer for one week without anything to gain.
