KCR calls Chandrababu an evil force

These days Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Rastra Samithi chief Chandrasekhar Rao is targeting his Andhra Pradesh counterpart Chandrababu Naidu, more than the Congress. As the State is heading for elections, positively in December, the TRS chief is going harder on Chandrababu Naidu.

The other day, Chandrasekhar Rao had called Chandrababu Naidu an evil force and a destroyer. He recalled, after nearly three years, the case of the note for vote and said that the TDP chief had conspired to destabilise the TRS government in Telangana. It was, perhaps, for the first time that Chandrasekhar Rao had made any reference to this case after Chandrababu Naidu left Hyderabad and settled in Amaravati disowning the common capital – Hyderabad. All that Chandrasekhar Rao wanted then was that Chandrababu Naidu leave the capital and should not interfere with his Telangana administration. With Chandrababu Naidu leaving the capital, he remained silent on the case and had never made any reference to it, though the YSR Congress leaders here have been making hue and cry about this case.

Ahead of elections, in the thick of Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax raids in the two Telugu States, his reference to the case is seen as bigger political war between the two strong rivals. It looks like the TRS is treating the TDP as the main rival for it in the State than the Congress. Though KCR targets the Congress leaders, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Jana Reddy and Aruna, his focus is more on Chandrababu Naidu.

Going by this, the strategy of KCR is to destroy Chandrababu Naidu’s image in both the Telugu States. He feels that by targeting Chandrababu Naidu, KCR feels comfortable in Telangana and helps Jaganmohan Reddy to be comfortable in Andhra Pradesh. It is for this reason, KCR is targeting the TDP chief more than the Congress. Will it work for the two new friends in the two States as expected is a big question now.
