Naidu worried about Revanth cases ?

Telugu Desam Party supremo and chief minister Chandrababu Naidu looks more worried about the process of the cases pending against former TDP leader Revanth Reddy from Telangana. Revanth is now under the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Departments’ scanner. He is being questioned by the officials of the two departments in Hyderabad, after around 30 hours long search in his houses last week.

The IT officials have questioned Revanth and his associates, besides Stephenson and Udaysimha in the infamous Note for Vote case. The officials have also seized some documental and digital evidence in the case from Revanth Reddy’s associates. This causes greater worry for Chandrababu Naidu and his TDP leaders.

The coordination committee meeting of the party which was held at Amaravati the otherday had long discussion on the developments taking place in Telangana. After Chandrababu Naidu briefed them about the latest happenings in Telangana about this case, some of the leaders have tried to convince him about the witch-hunt politics of prime minister Narendra Modi and Telangana chief minister Chandrasekhar Rao.

The meeting had dedicated a lot of time for the discussion on this case and its possible developments further. When some of the leaders expressed doubts over the IT and ED officials targeting the TDP chief, the chief miniter had reportedly told them to go wild against the BJP and TRS for the witch-hunt. He had reportedly told them how the TDP and Chandrababu Naidu are targeted by the parties for questioning or fighting for the special category status and other issues.

The TDP wants to make use of the Dharma Porata Deeksha by the party chief in the State seeking special category status and other bifurcation benefits, to gain sympathy from the ED and IT cases. “If the IT officials come here, we should go to the people explaining how the witch-hunt is carried out and how Chandrababu Naidu is personally targeted,” the TDP coordination committee meeting felt.

The party leaders, in a way, are of the opinion that if the IT officials lay their hands on Chandrababu Naidu in continuation to the cases on Revanth Reddy, it would help the party to build sympathy among the people.
